Commercial HVAC Service Technician – FlowTech

FlowTech, located just outside of Fort Wayne, is seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. We work on a wide range of commercial systems—from large split systems to boilers and process chilling equipment—and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running.

If you’re a technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and taking on larger commercial equipment, this is a strong fit.

Position Overview

This role includes both installation and service work. Technicians will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. Most days involve working independently, with occasional team-based projects.

Weekend on-call rotation is required, but actual weekend callouts are rare.

Minimum Requirements

• 2–5 years of HVAC experience

• Ability to read and work from wiring diagrams

• Basic knowledge of refrigeration, combustion, and electrical systems

• Universal EPA 608 Certification

• Must have basic hand tools

• Ability to safely use ladders

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–5 years of commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration experience

• Ability to diagnose systems independently

• Extensive knowledge of refrigeration, combustion, and electrical systems

• Experience with larger commercial components, including:

• Large split systems

• Bigger boilers

• Process chilling/boiler systems

• Comfortable mentoring or working alongside a less experienced (“green”) technician

Work Environment

• Mix of service and installation

• Primarily independent work, with some team projects

• On-call weekends (rarely results in actual calls)
