Electrical Install Technician – FlowTech

Position Summary
FlowTech is seeking a skilled and customer‑focused Electrical Install Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform residential electrical installations, upgrades, replacements, and system improvements with a strong emphasis on safety, craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction. You’ll represent FlowTech in the field, ensuring every homeowner receives reliable, high‑quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential electrical systems including panels, circuits, outlets, lighting, surge protection, and grounding systems.
- Perform service upgrades, rewiring projects, and new equipment installations according to NEC standards.
- Diagnose electrical issues and provide clear, professional recommendations to homeowners.
- Ensure all installations meet local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding project scope, timelines, and system operation.
- Collaborate with dispatch, customer service, and other field technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and job status.
- Uphold FlowTech’s standards for cleanliness, professionalism, and customer care.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and new technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Electrical License (Journeyman or equivalent experience preferred).
- Minimum 2–3 years of residential electrical installation experience.
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and safe work practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and confined areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience installing generators, EV chargers, or smart‑home electrical systems.
- Background in residential service companies or home‑services environments.
- Comfort using tablets, mobile apps, and digital work‑order systems.
